Welcome!

Hi, I’m Paul Ward--a software engineer with a decade of experience, building on a solid foundation as a Unix systems administrator. I’m passionate about crafting efficient, elegant solutions in Go, C, C++, and the ever-expressive world of Lisp.

I also have a deep appreciation for retrocomputing, with a particular fondness for mini and microcomputers capable of running Unix, VMS, and TOPS-20. Exploring these systems fuels my curiosity and reminds me how timeless good design can be.

When I’m not hacking away, I enjoy diving into creative problem-solving and seeking inspiration in both modern tech and the classics.

What is this site?

I originally created this site as a repository for various information related to the NeXTSTEP and OPENSTEP operating systems, but have since decided to expand it to cover just about anything else that I'm interested in--from Unix documentation to information on video terminals.
